During the 1930s, the Hotel Ambassador was the epitome of luxury in the finest traditions of the worlds great hotels, with its crystal chandeliers, plush Aubusson tapestries, commissioned paintings, marble columns and antique furnishings. After the purchase of the hotel by the Concorde Hotels Group in 1987, nearly 25 million Francs (3.8 million Euros) were invested for the Hotel Ambassadors renovation. Today the Hotel Ambassador maintains the peerless style that contributed to its success during the thirties.
